Portugal Basketball – Land of Opportunity
Since the opening of Europrobasket the connection with the Portuguese basketball leagues have been very beneficial for both players and teams. Numerous Europrobasket players sign with teams from the 1st division to the 3rd in both the Men’s and Woman’s divisions. Our alumni have helped teams win championships and move up divisions. They have also prevented teams from moving to lower divisions. Portugal basketball teams have provided great opportunities for our players with organized and competitive competitions. They also provide high quality cultivation and coaching. This has resulted in many Europrobasket alumni’s ability to improve and progress on their European professional careers. We are proud to announce that once again Europrobasket players have made big impacts on their teams in Portugal. See how they have impacted their teams and the league they compete in.
How Europrobasket Players Stack-Up
Adaku Anumu received Europrobasket.com All-Portuguese 1a Division 2nd Team honors. All while ranking 2nd in the league in Scoring and 9th in overall Efficiency Index. It was a very impressive year in terms of individual performance. It was also a great team result as he lead his team to a 14-7 record. Which awarded them 3rd place for the Southern Zone of the competition.
Chrisitan Foxen received Europrobasket.com All-Portuguese 1a Division 2nd Team honors. All while ranking 2nd in Offensive Rebounding, 4th in Rebounding overall, 7th in Defensive Rebounding, and 10th in overall Efficiency Index. A great result in both individual performance as well as team results as their record was 10-10 and ranked 8th place in the Northern Zone of the competition.
Giorgi Gogua received Europrobasket.com All-Portuguese 1a Division Honorable Mention while ranking 5th in Defensive Rebounding, 6th in Rebounding, 8th in Scoring, 13th in Offensive Rebounding and 14th in overall Efficiency Index. A solid individual performance and team result with a record of 13-9 and ranking 5th place in the Southern Zone of the competition.
