DJ MCCALL

Desmond DJ McCall, 6’6″ American Small Forward from IUPUI NCAA D1, signed in Spain’s LEB Plata for the 2021-22 season. DJ played in two of the highest competitions in his home country of the United States. He started and completed his collegiate playing career at IUPUI, an NCAA division one university in Indiana which competes in the Horizon League. At IUPUI DJ McCall was a four year starter and 2 year team captain. For the 2018-2019 season DJ McCall was the Horizon League defensive player of the year, named to the Horizon League ALL-Defensive Team and was awarded the Horizon League All-Academic honors for both 2018 and 2019. Following a very successful collegiate career, Desmond took his talents to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA G League. Desmond attended EuroProBasket’s European Summer League in June of 2021 after taking a season to recover from an injury sustained the season before. During his time in the summer league he showed that he was healthy, in shape and very capable of playing at a high level here in Europe. He received the MVP award for his performance in the Summer League and garnered the attention of many teams. DJ McCall received a serious offer due to his performance and the connection between EuroProBasket and many teams, coaches, GM’s and scouts here in Europe. He accepted an offer to play for Arcos Albacete in the Spanish LEB Plata league.
