JONATHAN VERKERK

Jonathan Verkerk, 6’6″ Dutch Small Forward from Feyenoord BNXT League, signed in Spain for the 2024-25 season. Jonathan attended the EuroProBasket European Summer League in June 2024 following a season in the Netherlands. Receiving few minutes that season, Jonathan Verkerk searched for other opportunities to further his career outside of his home country. After a very successful summer league at EuroProBasket averaging 15.5 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 2.3 assists all while shooting 60% from the 2 point and earning an efficiency rating of 21.5, he was awarded the MVP of the league. Many teams showed interest and made offers; under the guidance of his mentors and staff at EuroProBasket he accepted an offer to play with a club that has a 4th and 3rd division team, which he could practice with both and potentially play games for both teams in both divisions. The ideal scenario for a young developing player. This will be Jonathan Verkerk’s first professional contract playing outside of the Netherlands.
