Europrobasket player Tariq Martin, Johnson & Wales University Basketball NAIA D1, 6’6″ Small Forward, signed with a team in Barcelona. Tariq attended Europroasket’s European Summer League this past Summer of 2016. He received interest but no offer. After a few months of training at home he received interest from a team in Barcelona and was invited to a tryout. After a week long tryout his team decided to offer him a contract to stay the entire season. Tariq comes from Johnson & Wales University, a small NAIA basketball program in Miami. He was named the defensive player of the year his senior season as well as leading the team to its best record in the school’s history. This will be Tariq’s first time competing on a team in Europe.
