From Sydney to the Holy Land of Basketball: Daniel Titus Signs in Lithuania!

Daniel Titus, the 6’8″ Australian powerhouse forward who recently dominated our January 2026 Euro Professional Program, has officially signed his first professional contract in Lithuania. Daniel departed today to join his new club, where he will compete for the remainder of the season, marking a massive milestone in his burgeoning career.

A Country where Basketball is King

By signing in Lithuania, Daniel Titus isn’t just joining a league; he is entering a culture where basketball is the undisputed number one sport. Often referred to as a religion in the Baltics, Lithuanian basketball is world-renowned for its fundamental excellence, tactical depth, and incredibly passionate fan bases. For a player looking to make a name for themselves in Europe, there is no better stepping stone than the highly competitive and scouted Lithuanian leagues.

A Resume Built for the Pro Ranks

Daniel’s journey to this contract is a testament to his consistent elite performance. Before arriving at EuroProBasket, Daniel was already a decorated athlete playing NCAA DI basketball at Coppin State and the NBL1, Australia’s 2nd tier competition.

The EuroProBasket Catalyst

While Daniel arrived with the physical tools and the stats, averaging 13.85 PPG and 5.85 RPG with the Hornsby Spiders, it was his time in Spain that sharpened his European IQ. In his own words, the transition to the European style was an eye opener:

“The biggest eye-opener for me when coming to Spain was how much faster everything was. Not having to hand the ball to referees changes the game so much and makes it a more up-tempo game.”

At EuroProBasket, Daniel Titus adapted his ball dominant style from the US and Australia to the fast-paced, set-oriented European game. His dedication to two-a-day practices and strength conditioning ensured he was pro-ready the moment the Lithuanian offer hit the table.

Your Professional Career Starts Here

Daniel’s signing is the perfect example of how EuroProBasket bridges the gap between international talent and European professional opportunities. “I wouldn’t have had any of the opportunities that I have now if I didn’t come over and take the chance,” Daniel noted.

Congratulations, Daniel Titus! We can’t wait to see you thrive in the heart of Lithuanian basketball.
