The Return of the General: Loïc Garaud Torres Signs in Valencia Following the European Summer League

Andorran point guard Loïc Garaud Torres has officially signed with a team in Valencia, Spain for the 2025/26 season. After an intensive period of interest from clubs across Europe, Loïc secured his spot with a team that saw him firsthand during the EuroProBasket European Summer League in June 2025. This signing marks a homecoming to the city where he refined his game and a significant step forward in his career.

A Proven Track Record of Success

Loïc is no stranger to the high stakes of European basketball. His foundation was built in the prestigious Morabanc Andorra Youth Academy, where he spent six years developing the discipline and work ethic that define him today. His talent quickly earned him a spot on the Andorra National Team, representing his country in the 2022 FIBA U18 European Championship and later earning a pre-selection for the Senior National Team in 2024.

Before his latest success in Spain, Loïc utilized the EuroProBasket platform to launch his international career. In 2023, after completing a 6-week Euro Professional Program, he signed his first major international contract with a team in the Netherlands. This experience in the Dutch league, combined with stints in France and Catalunya, prepared him for the rigors of the competitive market.

The EuroProBasket Advantage: Refinement and Exposure

Returning to EuroProBasket for the 2025 Summer League was a strategic move for the 1.84m combo guard. Already a three-level scorer with a high basketball IQ, Loïc used the program to fine-tune his tempo control and leadership. The EuroProBasket coaching staff focused on maximizing his Full-court defender mentality, ensuring he could provide the elite on-ball pressure that modern teams search for.

The results were immediate. While Loïc received interest from multiple teams throughout Europe during the 2025/26 recruitment cycle, it was his performance in front of coaches and GM’s in Valencia that sealed the deal. By playing in a high-visibility environment, he turned potential interest into a concrete contract in one of the world’s most competitive basketball regions.

Inspiring the Next Generation

Loïc Torres’ story is a blueprint for aspiring players. It demonstrates that success isn’t just about talent—it’s about putting that talent in front of the right people at the right time. From his native Andorra to the Netherlands and now back to Spain, Loïc has consistently bet on himself and the EuroProBasket system.

We look forward to watching him dominate the court in Valencia this season. His journey proves that with the right preparation and exposure, the next contract is always within reach.
