Trevor Button, a 6’4″ American shooting guard, is taking his talents to Norway to continue his basketball career. After an impressive three-month program at EuroProBasket in 2025, Trevor has secured a spot on a Norwegian team looking to make a major impact this season. This opportunity is a direct result of his hard work and the professional connections fostered within our program.

A Foundation of Elite Scoring

Trevor arrived at EuroProBasket with a proven track record as a high-volume scorer. During his 2022 season at Emerson Waldorf High School, he averaged a remarkable 32.4 points per game. His efficiency was equally impressive, shooting 54% from three-point range and 89% from the free-throw line. He further developed his game at Waynesburg University and Flight 22 Prep, building the physical and mental toughness required for the next level. However, to bridge the gap to international play, Trevor knew he needed the right exposure and coaching.

The EuroProBasket Connection and Coaching

During his time in Spain, Trevor worked closely with EuroProBasket coach Anastasios “Tasos” Stougiannoudis. Under Coach Tasos’s guidance, Trevor refined his tactical understanding of the European game, specifically learning different ways to move without the ball. A major highlight of his program was competing against the Luxemburg Senior National Team in May 2025, a unique experience that tested his skills against elite international talent.

When Coach Tasos signed with a team in Norway, he knew exactly who he wanted to bring with him to help his new club move up a division. Recognizing Trevor’s scoring ability and work ethic, Tasos signed Trevor along with another EuroProBasket player and close friend, Chris.

“It feels amazing to take on a new challenge with Coach Tasos, one of my favorite coaches to play for, knowing he trusts me to help the team move forward positively,” Trevor shared. “Having my friend and teammate, Chris, with me has made the transition so much more enjoyable. It’s not just about the basketball court; having someone to share the experience with makes adapting to the lifestyle off the court much smoother as well.”
