Spain is where Konstantinos Dimitriadis will play next season. The Greek forward has signed for 2026-27 in Tercera FEB, Conferencia D, the conference covering Andalucía, Extremadura, and Ceuta y Melilla. It is his first contract outside Greece.

From Ionikos Ionias to a basketball signing in Spain

A basketball signing in Spain is a hard roster spot to win. The Spanish federation system is deep, and every level of it is stocked with players who grew up inside it. Dimitriadis is 205 cm, plays the four and the five, and arrives at 19 with two senior seasons behind him.

He came up at Ionikos Ionias BC, where he played from age 13 through 17. He moved into senior basketball with Eukarpia BC in Greek National League 2 for 2023-24, a smaller role in his first year around grown men.

In 2025-26 he was back in National League 2 with Olympos EKE.

What a coach is getting is a big who can hold up at the five and play the four, with two senior years in Greece behind him before his 20th birthday. He is not arriving to learn the game.

The second time in Valencia

Dimitriadis had been to Valencia before. He first came for EuroProBasket’s Euro Professional Program in 2025, went back to Greece for a season with Olympos EKE, and returned in August 2026 a more prepared player.

That showed in what he chose to work on. Situational 1v1s, offense and defense, every day, the reads that decide possessions rather than the drills that fill a session. He points to recovery, body and mind, as the hardest part of the block.

The staff stayed on his mentality and his body language, and he took the coaching instead of arguing with it. For a young big who wants minutes, that is the part that travels to any locker room in Europe.

“I wasn’t surprised by the European basketball that was taught, given that I had similar experiences in Greece with the exception being that the athleticism was higher in Valencia.”

The move

The offer came while he was still in Valencia. A Tercera FEB club reached out before the August block had finished, and he had the decision in front of him before he flew home.

Asked what he wants to prove in Spain, he did not hedge:

“That I deserve more playing time than the one I got in Greece.”

How do you get signed to play basketball in Spain?

You earn a roster spot by producing where it can be verified, and by getting film in front of people who sign players. Konstantinos Dimitriadis played two senior seasons in Greek National League 2 and two blocks in Valencia with the Euro Professional Program, the second in August 2026. He had a Tercera FEB offer before that block was over.

Can you sign in Spain after playing in Greek National League 2?

Yes. Dimitriadis played National League 2 with Eukarpia BC in 2023-24 and Olympos EKE in 2025-26 before signing in Spain for 2026-27. He came to Valencia twice with the Euro Professional Program, in 2025 and again in August 2026.

What is Tercera FEB?

Tercera FEB is a national league inside the Spanish federation system, split into regional conferences. Dimitriadis will play in Conferencia D, covering Andalucía, Extremadura, and Ceuta y Melilla. Roster spots there are competitive, and production moves players up the system.

How long after a EuroProBasket program do players sign?

There is no timeline and nothing is promised. In Dimitriadis’s case the offer arrived during the program itself, in August 2026, on his second block with EuroProBasket.
