Basketball in Barcelona: Nathan Bausivoir-Lérus Signs for 2026-27

Spain is the first stop outside France for Nathan Bausivoir-Lérus. The 19-year-old French combo guard has signed with a Tercera FEB team for the 2026-27 season and will play his basketball in Barcelona, eight weeks after arriving at EuroProBasket’s Euro Professional Program in Valencia.

A Junior Scorer Ready for Senior Minutes

Nathan Bausivoir-Lérus is a 6’2″ French combo guard who came through Lille Metropole Basket Club (LMBC). He averaged 16.5 points, 3 assists and 2.1 rebounds in 31 minutes a game in U18 Elite France in 2024-25, and in 2026-27 he plays in Spain’s Tercera FEB for a team in Barcelona.

Before Lille, he played U15 Elite France and U17 regional basketball at Marne La Vallée Basket from 2021 to 2023. At LMBC he also trained with the club’s Espoirs Pro B group, and in 2026 he made the first team at the Elite 59 tournament.

Last season was the test. Nathan moved up to LMBC’s U21 team in Nationale 3 and played 19 games at about five minutes a game, on a roster that earned promotion to Nationale 2. He went from first option in junior basketball to waiting his turn on a senior roster, and this summer he came to Spain to change that.

What a coach gets is an athletic, physical guard who gets into the paint off the dribble and finishes the play. He creates his own space, makes shots from mid-range and three, and has the conditioning to hold up through hard sessions.

Eight Weeks in Valencia

Nathan arrived at the Euro Professional Program at the start of August 2026, his first time training and playing outside his home country. He competed every day against older players and kept attacking the paint.

In a full game on August 25 he scored 16 points in 25 minutes, with 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Two of those rebounds came on the offensive glass, a guard going in to get the ball instead of waiting for it.

He’s a good teammate and very coachable, and for a 19-year-old about to walk into a senior locker room in a new country, that carries real weight. His game film, stats and exposure from the program reached clubs in Spain, and eight weeks after he arrived he signed.

A First Season of Basketball in Barcelona

Tercera FEB is a national senior league, and it’s a hard place for a teenager to earn a rotation spot. Nathan was in the starting lineup by his third game with his new team.

Production in Tercera FEB is how players move up into Segunda FEB and Primera FEB. At 19, Nathan has the time and the role to start building it.

Train Where Nathan Trained

Nathan’s eight weeks in Valencia, Spain, meant daily games against older European competition, run by FIBA-certified European coaches. Since 2015, 400+ players have signed and committed in 25+ different countries, and every one of them is on our players signed page. Receipts, not promises.

If you’re a young guard ready for senior minutes, start with the Euro Professional Program.
