We are thrilled to announce that Australian forward Daniel Titus has officially secured a tryout with a powerhouse basketball club in Barcelona, Spain. After an intensive week in our January 2026 Euro Professional Program, Daniel’s unique blend of size and skill caught the eye of a team, leading to this immediate opportunity.

A Proven Track Record of Success

Standing at 6’8″, Daniel Titus arrived at EuroProBasket with an already impressive resume. Hailing from a background of elite competition, he previously dominated the BNSW Youth League in 2022, where he was named an All-Star Five member and ranked in the top 3 in scoring.

His experience extends to the collegiate level at Coppin State NCAA D1, where his character and leadership earned him the Player’s Player Award. His last season there Daniel averaged 2.4 points, 1.8 rebounds, 0.6 assists in 25 games while on the court 14.6 minutes per game. Most recently, Daniel has been a force in the NBL1 and local leagues in Australia, consistently putting up elite numbers like his 32-point performance against Albury Wodonga.

The Barcelona Opportunity

Landing a tryout in one of the world’s most iconic basketball cities is no small feat. Barcelona is home to some of the countries most elite clubs with 6+ pro teams and 400+ basketball clubs in total! Daniel shared his excitement about the news:

“I felt really excited after finding out a team was interested in giving me a chance to tryout and even better that it was in Barcelona. I wouldn’t have had any of the opportunities that I have now if I didn’t come over and take the chance.”

Adapting to the European Game

Despite his accolades, Daniel came to EuroProBasket to bridge the gap between Australian/US styles and the tactical demands of the European game. The transition was immediate and eye-opening. “The biggest eye-opener for me when coming to Spain was how much faster everything was,” Daniel noted. “Not having to hand the ball to referees changes the game so much and makes it a more up-tempo game.”

During his time in our January program, Daniel focused on:

  • Pace and Flow: Moving away from the ball-dominant styles of Australia and the US to embrace a faster, set-oriented European offense.
  • Professional Conditioning: Adapting to a rigorous schedule of two practices a day plus weights to ensure peak physical readiness for scouts.
  • Tactical IQ: Learning from coaches with deep European experience to understand the nuances of the game in Spain.

The Path to Pro Starts Here

Daniel’s journey from being an official training player with the Sydney Kings to a pro prospect in Spain is a testament to his work ethic and the effectiveness of the EuroProBasket platform. As he prepares for his week in Barcelona, his advice to other international players is clear: “If players from other countries are serious about playing in Europe, I definitely think they need to come to EuroProBasket. They will do everything in their power to help you get to where you want to go.”

Congratulations, Daniel! The entire EuroProBasket team is behind you as you take on Barcelona.
