Europrobasket player Alana Laws left on a tryout this week with a team in Spain. This will be Alana’s second time trying out with a team in Spain following a program completed at Europrobasket. Alana first attended Europrobasket in 2018, in an effort to sign with a team in January for the remainder of the season. She was successful after a great showing in the program and during a tryout organized by Europrobasket staff which took place in Barcelona. She signed with that team for the remainder of the season. It was her first contract overseas and she did it at the age of 31.
Following a year long break from playing overseas, Alana decided to give her career another shot. She attended Europrobasket’s Woman’s program this January and proved that she was in shape and ready for a team again. During her time with Europrobasket, she showed high character, great work ethic, a positive attitude and a good understanding of basketball concepts. A team president attended one of the training sessions and invited her to tryout with his club. At the age of 33 years old, Alana has another chance at improving her career in Europe.
