Germany is the next stop for the 2026-27 season. Kevin Simeth signed in Germany’s Pro B a little over a month after being named MVP of the 2026 European Summer League with EuroProBasket in Valencia.

From San Jose State to a Career Year at Cal Poly Pomona

Simeth started his college career at San Jose State in NCAA D1, where he appeared in 11 games as a freshman. He transferred to Cal Poly Pomona in NCAA D2 and built the rest of his résumé there.

The climb was steady: 2.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 13.8 minutes in 2023-24, then 3.8 and 5.6 in 17.9 minutes in 2024-25. As a senior he played 30 games and averaged 27.0 minutes, 9.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocks while shooting 66.7% from the field, with 2.6 offensive rebounds a game and All-CCAA Honorable Mention.

The 6’7″ forward does not take bad shots. He finishes what the offense creates, rebounds his own team’s misses into second chances, and stays out of foul trouble.

MVP of the European Summer League

Simeth came to Valencia in June 2026 and left as the MVP of the competition. Across four games he averaged 16.0 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocks in 24.8 minutes, on 70.3% shooting from the field and 76.7% inside the arc.

Four offensive rebounds a game, a 67.3 true shooting percentage, a 21.8 efficiency rating. He played the regional phase in Valencia and the second round with Team Supreme, and nothing dipped when the competition changed. He also shot 42.9% from three on limited volume after attempting almost none in four college seasons.

Games are professionally recorded and the film goes out to the scouting network. TCA Sports Management was in the gym in Valencia in June, and what Simeth put on tape there is what moved this forward.

Germany Over Spain

Simeth had real interest from teams in Spain and chose Germany instead. Germany is one of the deepest basketball countries in Europe and earning a roster spot inside its league system is hard to do — the players who produce there move up it. He signed for the 2026-27 season in Pro B.
