Ray Kowalski, a talented 6’3″ American combo guard, has signed with a Tercera FEB team in Albacete, Spain, marking a significant step in his professional basketball journey. This is his second professional contract secured through the EuroProBasket European Summer League, highlighting the platform’s role in his career development.
Kowalski’s collegiate career, spanning NJCAA D1, NCAA D2, and NCAA D1, was hampered by injuries and COVID, preventing him from fully showcasing his potential and attracting professional interest directly out of university. However, he utilized the EuroProBasket platform to demonstrate his health and readiness for professional play.
His impressive performance at the 2023 EuroProBasket European Summer League immediately caught attention. In four ESL games, he averaged 16.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists, leading to his first professional contract with Condores in the Liga WPlay (Colombia 1st Division) for the ’23/’24 season.
Following a successful season in Colombia, where he averaged 17.6 points per game and ranked among the league’s top 10 scorers, Kowalski returned to EuroProBasket for the 2025 European Summer League. His second showing was even stronger, as he emerged as one of the scoring leaders with an average of 18.25 points, along with 4.5 rebounds and 2 assists per game.
The Tercera FEB team in Albacete is gaining a versatile and experienced guard. Kowalski brings a high basketball IQ, physical defense, and a strong understanding of team schemes and rotations. He is a dependable, coachable player and a vocal leader on the court.
