EuroProBasket is proud to announce the return of Pascal Meurs as Head Coach and Chief Player Development Coordinator for the 2024-25 season, marking his fourth season with the program (2019-20, 2021-22, 2022-23, and 2024-25).
Coach Meurs is a Belgian professional coach who offers a truly unique combination of extensive hands-on professional coaching experience across multiple continents and a sharp, advanced analytical perspective grounded in a PhD in Mathematical Physics. This blend of high-level experience and data-driven analysis ensures that every EuroProBasket player receives instruction based on the most advanced methods in the global game.
Elite Professional Coaching Track Record
Meurs’ coaching pedigree is deep and extensive, spanning the top divisions in Europe, including Belgium, the Netherlands, France, and Luxembourg.
Most recently, Coach Meurs concluded a successful international campaign leading the Ángeles de CDMX in Mexico’s CIBACOPA League. This follows years of developing elite youth talent in Spain, where he currently serves as the Head Coach of Valencia Basket’s U16 male team. His ability to transition between professional coaching roles, high-level youth development, and analytical work showcases a comprehensive understanding of the modern basketball landscape.

Few coaches in Europe match Coach Meurs’ academic and certification rigor. He has secured the highest coaching degree in his home country of Belgium and completed the prestigious Brévet d’ État d’ Educateur Sportif (BES2) in France. He is recognized as a leading voice, serving as a regular NBA and Liga Endesa TV Analyst for Eleven Sports in Belgium.
