Who Is Nathan Celigny?

He is a 6’3″ guard from France who spent 2025-26 at Action Sports Academy, and he carried that team. Thirty-two games, 34 minutes a night, 21.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.1 steals. He shot 54% inside the arc and 79% from the line.

Read the assist-to-turnover line and you find the guard underneath the scoring: 5.0 assists against 2.1 turnovers in a role where the ball never left his hands. He is long for the position, he moves, and he guards. What a coach is getting is a dynamic lead guard with real upside who has not finished growing into his game.

What Did Nathan Celigny Do in Valencia?

Celigny came to Valencia, Spain for the European Summer League in June 2026 and had to solve the problem most young guards struggle with. The ball stopped being his. His minutes dropped from 34 a night to 24.3, and his usage dropped with them.

He produced anyway. Across four games he averaged 11.5 points, 1.8 assists and 2.0 steals while shooting 38.1% from three. That last number is the one to sit with. He had shot 31.3% from deep at prep school, and against older, stronger European competition he shot it better and took it more often, with nearly half his attempts coming from behind the line.

The defense translated first. Two steals a game in 24 minutes is 3.3 per 40, and that is the kind of production that shows up on film without anyone needing to explain it.

How Does a Prep School Guard Sign in Spain?

By producing where people are watching, and then letting the film do the rest. Celigny attended the European Summer League in June 2026 and signed with a Spanish club a little over two months later, for the 2026-27 season.

Spain is one of the deepest basketball countries in Europe, and a roster spot inside the Spanish federation system is hard to earn at 20 years old on a first contract abroad. Tercera FEB is where a lot of young guards get their first real minutes against grown men, and production there moves players up.

Conferencia D is the southern group of Spain’s Tercera FEB, covering Andalucía, Extremadura, and the cities of Ceuta and Melilla. Celigny will spend the 2026-27 season competing in that group.
